Rock Solid Boxing Team Rock Solid is a youth boxing programs shapes lives in Waxahachie TX. in EIIis County, on a busy little street in Waxahachie, lives are being shaped. The Rock Solid Boxing Team started 5 years ago and already has won 5 Golden gloves, and 2 runner ups. The program is ran by Three wonderful men Earnest Smith "Big E" Wade Ford, Tony Lopez also Ms. Debbie. This program is focused on physical fitness, academic achievements and goal settings. This team creates champions in the amateur boxing ring and in life as well. Those involved must stay disciplined and follow strict guidelines to be part of the program. These students achieve drug-free and gang-free lives through faith and perseverance. The team is making a difference. The Rock Solid Boxing Team hold 2003-'07 Golden Gloves Championship, along with several other major wins. In April 2006, Joseph Chapman won 1st. place in the Fort Worth Division Tournament. Ray Townson 2008 the tournament of champs. This facility relies on donations for tournament fees, athletes registration under U.S. Amateur, Inc. (Insurance), uniforms, shoes, safety equipment, 3 Day travel, food, lodging, and new facility location. Rock Solid has received it's 501c3 non-profit status. Big E had been boxing since 1967 and is ranked 18th in the world. Some of his opponents have been Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Ronald "Tex" Cobb also in 1983 he was in the movie Tough Enough with Dennis Quaid, also a TV Show eye for an eye. He spent three years with Muhammad Ali helping him prepare for his fights. The president and coach of the organization give these youths hope.
